No prerequisite sewing skills required.

 

You will use a simple blanket stitch to create up to two items of your choice (glasses case, kindle case, iPad/ laptop case, coasters, placemats).

You will pick elements of your project from the pre-cut pieces that you will stitch together to create your item of choice.

​

You will use a simple back stitch to create an item of your choice - a drawstring water bottle holder or a drawstring yoga mat bag.

​

If you are new to sewing you can start with a water bottle bag (made to measure to fit your own bottle) as it requires less sewing, so it is ideal for practicing your sewing skills.

​

More experienced sewers will sew their chosen, pre-cut fabric together to create a yoga mat carry bag. 

​

I will have a sewing machine at the ready I you would like me to go over your stitches again.

You will use a simple back stitch to create an eye pillow washable cover and a cushion that will be filled with rice and dried lavender flowers.

You will sew your chosen fabric together to create an inner cushion and removable pillow cover.

​

I will have a sewing machine at the ready I you would like me to go over your stitches again.

The workshop covers all core sewing skills that will enable you to fix the majority of your clothes thus saving you money and preventing them from ending up in landfill.

Learn how to thread a needle, sew on a button, backstitch (useful for fixing most seams and splits), herringbone (hems) and ladder stitch (perfect for difficult to access seams).

​

Utilise your new skills to perform a simple repair on your own item of clothing.
